Silk Road Supporters Being Tracked By Feds

In another turn of events that highlights privacy violations in the U.S., a grand jury is demanding personal information pertaining to posters in the comments section of an article. Their crime? Expressing their dissatisfaction over a federal judge’s verdict by making jokes in poor taste.

untitledAfter Federal Judge Katherine Forrest issued a life sentence to Ross Ulbricht, the founder of Silk Road, his supporters decided to vent their frustration online by cheekily suggesting someone should murder the judge in question. Apparently, neither she nor the rest of the American justice system found it funny, as up to eight posters are now being tracked by feds and will have to answer for their words. webmasters are being forced by law to turn over any pertinent information that could help the law identify the posters of these comments. Most of the comments made no threats towards the judge’s life whatsoever, which is apparently irrelevant – their authors will now be persecuted as if they have committed a felony.

The illusion of privacy online is just that – an illusion. The American government is tracking whomever it wants, and it’s a simple matter of obtaining the required legal documents before they can punish a person for something he or she did anonymously. With everyone’s online activity being tracked by feds 24/7, it falls upon each and every one of us to protect ourselves from Big Brother’s prying eyes.

The first and most obvious step is to never include your name or any relevant information when you post. Instead of posting logged in under Facebook or using your real first and last name, simply use the option to post anonymously or fill the required fields with a pseudonym. While this will provide some form of protection, it’s far from enough. Your IP address will still be left wherever you go, leaving you tracked by feds no matter what you do. Even local authorities can request your personal information from your ISP using nothing but your IP address.

Therefore, a VPN (Virtual Private Network) is the only feasible way of protecting your online activities. A VPN will encrypt all of your traffic regardless of your activities online, thereby making it impossible for anyone – including the government – to spy on you. Soon enough, privacy will become even more of a thing of the past as forums and websites find themselves tracked by feds as part of a so-called “crackdown on drugs”, with the authority growing increasingly bold in their attempts to violate Internet users’ rights.

The government has shown time and again that it has no regard for your privacy. Start using a VPN right now and prevent them from keeping an eye on you for another second.

  1. I just checked my account and I am being told that I am unsubscribed.
Could you please check for me.
    Thank you

    • I’m so sorry you guys didn’t get the independence you so greatly and trully deserve. Much love to all the Kurds from your Jewish cousins. I hope one day we will unite and help you free your occupied lands from the greedy evil turks and other bastards like them.

  2. Ross Ulbricht is a true political prisoner who was locked up for life by the same criminal cartel who stole the monetary printing press back in 1912, and ever since they charge us the people 11% interest rate on every dollar they print. You know them as the federal reserve. The only thing federal about them is that name. They are an anonymous criminal banking cartel. Who have been robbing us blind for over a hundred years. It’s very interesting that the US of A is the only country in the world that is not allowed to print it’s own currency. I wonder how they got away with literally demanding that we the people or government back in 1912 had to surrender the monetary printing press. Sounds like a putch to me. Their impudence had no bounds not only did they take the press they also made an ultimatum that we will pay them interest for every dollar printed.
Funny how our self proclaimed Greatest justice system in the world put an innocent man to rot in prison till the end of his existence. While these fearless anonymous cartel of criminals enjoy their lavish life styles without a single worry in the world. These bastards should all be hanging on piano wire. Unfortunately as they live out their lives like royalty, poor innocent Ross Ulbricht will rot in an inhuman institution designed to brake human beings and rob them of their last bit of dignity they may still have managed to nurture and hide away from the inhuman government trained sadist who’s job is to suck you dry of everything that reminded you that you were once a free human being. Funny thing is that when the printing press was taken in 1912 either that very same year or a year or two later all drugs were made illegal.
I hope I live to see the day when this insane social experiment will wither and die the way of the volstad act.
I hope we all live to see the day when Ross goes free, and his inquisitor aka judge Torcamada will trade places with him.

  3. I wonder how that modern remnant of the “holy inquisition” the so called judge who destroyed the life of a young decent human being can live with itself and sleep at night

  4. Life liberty and the pursuit of happiness. What a wonderful lie. Would that be our happiness or some sadistic magistrates idea of what our happiness should be. The framers of the constitution are spinning in their graves.

  5. Our country has many frustrated people rapidly falling out of the middle class, X’ers who flounder and work at Starbucks part time, people who create then impose restraints according to personal values rather than neutral or conventional protection for diverse opinions, but face it,we have more freedom than those in other countries.

  6. As the days go by and the country and even the world I lived and loved ( and fought for) grows more corrupt and tarnished , I ask myself what more can we do. I contribute financially and like a lot of you , time , effort, computing resources to the less fortunate and repressed *more then we* yes I am talking to you north Korea, & Iran
I see the abuse of a system and the powers that are given… think about that for a second. the system I was so proudly once a member of sickens me… but in our complacency we have had freedom after right after right stripped away. Now a young man faces life behind bars for an infraction that brooked most illegals 2 to 5 years. a group of young people who bought 5 ID’s *gasp* are potentially looking at a 20year sentence because of the Rico act. ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME? “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” well no more, enough is enough! some say one man can’t really make a difference. I wonder if that applies to one highly trained, extremely motivated , and supremely pissed off fighting man.. HMPH Lets find out
